We are a group of four students from Albany Senior High School. We have set up this site to help tourists visiting Auckland find worthwhile destinations to visit where they will have a good time and walk away with a good experience. Every two weeks we will visit a new destination and let the world know about our extraordinary experiences we have had in Auckland and its attractions.

Our thoughts:
From our short walk from Parnell bus stop we arrived at the Auckland Museum. There was no entry fee but there was the option to give a small coin donation. We then had to hand our bags in before we went through the Museum which could be collected on the way out. Going through the Museum there were many different expeditions to view as well as hand on interactive activities to take part in. The museum was very interesting for tourists visiting Auckland that are wanting to learn more about the culture or history but for an everyday Aucklander it isn't that exciting.
Next we went to the Auckland Domain which is a big park full of greenery would would be great for a picnic with the kids.
After the Domain we went to the Victoria Park Markets, there were many shops/stalls with little nifty bits and bobs to buy. We discovered after 5 minutes of walking around that the stalls were repeating themselves and there wasn't that much to do or buy after all.

Sky tower and IMAX cinemas

Price:
Maxx bus = $2.50 x 2
Skytower = $15.00
IMAX Cinemas = $14.50
TOTAL = $34.50

Our thoughts:
After a twenty minute bus ride into the city, we hopped off the bus to head towards the Skytower. We had to pay a $15.00 entry fee to go up to the viewing deck which was all well worth it, because of the amazing views that we were able to experience seeing. After leaving the Skytower, we made our way to the IMAX Cinemas where we had to pay a little extra than we expected as most of the movies are in 3D. All in all though, it was a great day, we would recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing day out.

Our thoughts:
We were lucky enough to have nice sunny weather so it was great for travelling and walking around. There was quite a lot of different buses that we had to catch to finally arrive at our destination but overall the travelling was well worth it. There was a wide variety of 'things' to see at Kelly Tarltons even a few rides. It was probably more suitable for younger children and isn't as exciting for teenagers from the ages of 13- 18 and also had a high entry fee which wasn't so nice for the wallet, but if you haven't visited it before it is definitely worth while having a day out to look at. After Kelly Tarltons we took about a 10 minute walk towards the local Mission Bay shops where there were a few places to buy lunch as well as a lovely beach which is perfect for a picnic.
